How to Check E-Bike Fit Before You Buy

Start with your height, but do not stop there. Measure your inseam because riders of the same height can have different leg and torso proportions. Check the model’s current recommended rider-height range and available Size & Fit details, then consider the following:

1. Confirm that the saddle can be set within the bike’s approved adjustment range while still giving you comfortable leg extension.
2. Check whether the reach lets you hold the handlebar without feeling cramped or excessively stretched.
3. Choose a step-over or step-through frame based on access and stopping needs, not gender.
4. Match the tires and suspension to your normal routes rather than choosing them for appearance alone.
5. Check payload capacity separately. A bike that fits a tall rider is not automatically designed for a heavier total load.
