Hey Mokwheel Family,
Our Earth Day Photo Challenge may be over, but the stories we received? They’re still lighting up our hearts. 💚
Over the past few weeks, hundreds of riders shared their adventures—moments of sunshine, storms, laughter, and grit. But one story stood out. Meet John P., our grand prize winner, whose 2,000-mile journey with his Mokwheel Basalt redefined what resilience looks like.

2,000 Miles, Zero Excuses—How This Bike Changed My Daily Grind
“I don’t usually write reviews… unless a product blows me away. The Mokwheel Basalt? It’s that good.
Since June 2024, I’ve logged 2,000+ miles on this beast—mostly from my daily commute: 5.8 miles each way, twice daily. Rain, shine, hurricane winds? ‘Marine 1’ (yes, I named it) never flinched.
When Hurricane Milton wrecked my usual trail last year, the Basalt’s fat tires plowed through mud like pavement. While others detoured, I got home faster.
Has it been crashed twice? There are just scratches. The drivetrain, motor, and gears are flawless. The comfort is next-level, with an upgraded seat, ergo grips, and a rear rack that carries my lunch and laptop.
Honestly, I didn’t expect an e-bike to make me look forward to commuting. It keeps me energized, saves me money (it’ll pay for itself in a year!), and guess what? My wife wants one now. Weekend rides together? Coming soon.
If you want a bike that handles anything and fits seamlessly into your life, this is it.”
