Johnny started as a rider. He bought an e-bike, got hooked, and began thinking about what happened after a bike left the sales floor. He wanted a shop that would stand behind the bikes it sold. That idea became Mokwheel Factory Store in Tualatin, which opened in 2024.

You may already know him as “The Mokwheel Guy” on YouTube. With six years in the e-bike industry, he has made trying the bikes in person a central part of the shop. Walk-in test rides give riders time to get a feel for a bike before deciding what suits them.

The people coming through the door include first-time e-bike buyers, commuters, retirees and riders looking for a fat-tire bike for time outside. Johnny’s focus stays the same: help them find a bike, then be there when they need support. The Tualatin team handles assembly, tune-ups and Mokwheel service and repairs in the shop.

That after-sale commitment is personal to Johnny. “We have your back” is more than something the team says; he points out that it is printed on their shirts. It is the reason he wanted to open the shop in the first place.

The team provides e-bike assembly and tune-ups. Ask about the work your bike needs and current turnaround times.

Shop Pay Installments is offered by the store. Ask the team about the terms available to you before you buy.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available. Confirm the delivery area, timing and any charges with the team when arranging your purchase.

Planning your first test ride?What to know

Walk in during store hours. No appointment or deposit is needed.

Bring your ID.
Sign a waiver before the ride. A parent must be present to sign for anyone under 18; riders 18 and over may ride solo.
Get ready with the team.
The shop provides a helmet and a quick orientation. Ask which in-stock bike you can try.
Take up to 30 minutes.
Test rides stay in the business park and the streets immediately around the shop.

Johnny’s local pick

When the conversation turns to a day out on the bike, Johnny points riders toward the Banks–Vernonia State Trail. He describes a paved former rail line, big wooden trestles and a quieter change of pace from the city.

It is a separate outing from a store test ride. Plan ahead, and check current trail conditions and e-bike access rules before you go.
